Craig enjoys going to the NC mountains to chase trout, but his real passion is in the local fisheries in the Raleigh Area. He enjoys floating the Neuse and Tar Rivers for Gar and Large Mouth bass and has been known to plan his vacation around the local Shad run.

Orvis Nashville Outlet Store - Fishing Manager Nick HoganFishing Manager: Nick Hogan
Nick doesn’t hail far from the store in which he works. In fact, he was born and raised right in Raleigh. Growing up in the area gave him the opportunity to hone his angling skills on bass, bowfin, and carp in the lakes, redfish along the coast, and trout up in the mountains. An avid fly fisher for over a decade, Nick learned early on that persistence pays off; it took him over a year to land his first trout on the fly. Since then, he’s fished in multiple states across the USA as well as parts of Europe. But his favorite destination is the Rocky Mountain State of Colorado, as it affords him the ability to chase trout, ride powder, shoot rapids, tackle mountain trails, and sleep under the stars. A natural outdoor leader, Nick’s worked with the North Carolina Outward Bound School as an instructor for at-risk youth leading canoe trips through the Florida Everglades for up to a month at a time. Whether you’re searching for gear, guidance, or info on the best fishing spots in the Raleigh area, Nick looks forward to helping make your next angling adventure a success.
